Cairns Coastal Transfers (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides private transfers throughout Far North Queensland. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.

What we collect

When you book or contact us, we may collect:

• your name, phone number and email address
• pick-up and drop-off addresses, travel dates and times, and flight details
• number of passengers and luggage, child seat requirements, pets and any notes you add
• messages you send us by phone, text, WhatsApp or email
• payment details, if you pay online (see “Payments” below)

When you visit our website, we also collect general usage information such as pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Website analytics and advertising” below).

How we use your information

• to quote, confirm and carry out your transfer
• to contact you about your booking, including changes and flight delays
• to send booking confirmations, receipts and invoices
• to answer your questions and handle feedback or complaints
• to understand how our website is used and to improve it
• to measure and improve our online advertising
• to meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Online bookings

Our online booking form is provided by ClickChauffeur, a booking platform that stores your booking details on our behalf so we can manage your transfer. Information you enter in the booking form is handled under ClickChauffeur’s own privacy terms as well as this policy.

Payments

Any online payments are processed securely by our booking and payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.

Website analytics and advertising

We use the following tools on our website:

• Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing. These help us see when a visit from one of our ads leads to a booking, call or message, and may be used to show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can manage how Google personalises ads at adssettings.google.com and read Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use the site (for example clicks, scrolling and page views) through heatmaps and session replays, so we can improve it. Clarity masks text you type into forms. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features such as ad measurement will not.

Who we share information with

We only share your information where it’s needed to provide our service or where the law requires it. This includes our booking platform, payment provider, email and messaging providers, and Google and Microsoft for the website tools described above. Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information appropriately.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first and we’ll do our best to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
